JON A:

And then I just saw a dark entrance, but it was pulling me. Normally a dark entrance is like, no, no, but I was just like, you know what? I'm desperate. I need, I see something I'm going for it But if they slip, they're dead. Like they're dead. And so I was just amazed by this if you don't know what you want, someone else will tell you what they want. If you, if you don't know your story, Someone else is going to tell you their story. All right. Welcome to the new age human podcast. I'm your host, Jon Astacio. Today, we're doing a little bit different. It's going to be me and you, and we're talking about meditation and its benefits for challenging times of uncertainty and massive change. So this would be a good episode for you if you are feeling like you're in a mental fog If you're an experienced meditator or have never even considered it in the past, let's say you consider yourself an overthinker or you're looking for help in gaining a sense of direction. Now, just, I just want to throw it in there. I wrote everything out and I'm doing my best to stay on track because I want to just get to the point for you. And I don't want to go on a tangent as that can be a challenge for myself. So first we're going to start with benefits. Then we're going to go into my story so that you can see an actual journey. And lastly, if you want to stick around, there's going to be a momentary meditation. So let's get started with why meditation and what's going on. Like, why? So now in today's world, it's pretty obvious. Things are pretty hectic. If you haven't paid attention, we have an abundance of false gurus. Something called deep fakes, AI pretending to be people. And is this really happening? Is it not social media, catfishing division, politically and socially. And on top of that fear of the unknown. Okay. So a lot of this contributes to a disconnect from self and that inner anchor of discernment, because we're, it's easy to fall into scarcity mindset. And when you're thinking about it, if you, if you have. a lion in front of you, it's hard to think logically. And so it's easier to think emotionally and feel like you need to make a quick decision. And a lot of times that's not a good decision, especially the emotionally triggered ones. So think of this, if you don't know what you want, someone else will tell you what they want. If you, if you don't know your story, Someone else is going to tell you their story. So think of that mindset happening, right? Think of yourself going into that scarcity mindset because of what's going on today. And, and I wanted to somehow help to get out of that mindset because I saw what happened to me. It, I found myself in that scarcity mindset a lot. Um, and it wasn't until I started to be okay with myself and my own skin. and eventually truly understand what I needed to do for my benefit and my growth. So let's get into the benefits of meditation because that's what I started doing. One, it changes your physiology. Your nervous system is associated with your health, and you have different systems that come into play depending on what's going on in front of you and inside. Think of a car, you have different gears that you shift into, depending on how fast you're driving, where you're going, you pivot, right? And your body is pretty amazing in its ability to do that. So, I'm not going to say This is going to heal you, but it can be healing. I'm not going to say that this is therapy, but it can be therapeutic. So have that in mind. Number two, out of scarcity mindset and into prosperity mindset. So, like I said before, it would benefit you from leaving that scarcity mindset. A lot of people are in the victim mindset. It would benefit you to move into prosperity of thinking that I can do this think of the phrase What if and think of yourself or other people constantly going to what if this, what if that, and having that prevent them from making decisions of any sort procrastination comes from that and moving into why not think of those confident people where you're like, how are you going to do that? Think of like the main character and like an action movie and they're in this impossible situation and you're thinking, what if this and They're thinking. Why not? Let's go to plan B. We never had a plan B. Exactly. All right. Step three, access to infinite intelligence, collective conscious, your inner voice. Now, what the, if you haven't heard of that, I highly doubt you've never heard of these concepts, but just in case you're new to this podcast and, uh, maybe I told you to go here, right? That can be And will most likely be an entirely different episode or even seasons, because that gets really deep and it's, it's a fascinating subject for me. So if I were to a book, there's a chapter in Napoleon Hill's Think and Grow Rich I think it's chapter six, but essentially he talks about infinite intelligence and infinite creativity. Really good if you're looking to grow business. All right, so. Number four self reflection understand more of where you are now This includes what do you need to help be the best version of your self? specifically focusing on your inner self relationships and or your professional world and try to think of those things as separate but influencing each other cyclically, okay five Sourcing yourself for solutions versus the outside world. Okay, think about avoiding and bypassing those false gurus that we mentioned earlier and misleading advice from those even with good intentions. now let's get into my meditation story, and I'm going to do this as clear as I possibly can, and this is me opening up to you on what I went through. Because I needed to gain clarity on my professional world as there's lots of ways to build wealth. There's a lot of options that keep popping up. If you are no stranger to YouTube and YouTube University, you know that the algorithms just keep coming. There's ads, and there's pop ups, and there's cookies. So, yeah, I had this feeling of having many options and being scattered. And if you want to think of a visual, think of a puzzle. And I was just trying to put the pieces together. What's that vision? If you don't know your target, it's kind of hard to shoot it. Right? It's the light at the end of the tunnel, and if you don't know where the light is, you don't know where to go, and you're gonna end up going really slow in the dark, right? So, I started doing specific guided meditations that are part of what's called the inner journey. And if you have questions about that, feel free to contact me. You can go to like newagehuman. com and Hit that contact button. So what happened? Personal things came up in the meditation with family and personal relationships that needed to be addressed. Was it fun? No. Did I do it? Yes. Why? Because I had a reason for doing all of this. I wanted clarity because I was sick and tired of being sick and tired and just scattered in my mind and, um, really wanted to move forward. So did that, made those calls, message those people. Did that coffee sit down? Is everything perfect? No, but moving forward, right? Then what happened after that came clarity throughout the day. After each meditation, you think everything's done after the meditation, but. Throughout the day on my long drives, usually like 30 minutes to an hour are my drives, so I have a lot of time to think and at the same time I'm listening and filling my head with audios. I had an influx of ideas and I had to create a system of taking these ideas and putting them into something that's tangible later on. And it's hard to do when you're driving. So I started to record my voice and into notes. And if you want to know how I did that again, contact me, do a comment, whether you're watching on YouTube or, uh, if you're listening to the podcast, you know where to go, go to the show notes if you're not sure. So. Moving forward, I also became, uh, as the weeks went by, I, I became more aware of my poor time management being the main cause, and it became more obvious because after each meditation, I would journal, and then after I journal, I would circle, okay? Circle the words that popped out. Now, if you keep doing this, it's, You'll be amazed at what comes about again, each time you're digging deeper and you're covering. It's kind of like on a treasure hunt and you know that there's treasure because that journey within is a, is, is, is like a treasure hunt, really. And you find one piece of gold and you're like, Ooh, it's a shiny little thing. And then like, you see like the corner of something else and keep digging. That's what it felt like. So it was actually pretty exciting to do the next meditation. So finally, at the very end, reflecting on the whole journey. I came to the need and the awareness of the need for improved confidence, and I want to share with you the visual that came up because I think you'll get a kick out of it. Um, so let's go. My eyes were closed. And when you close your eyes, you just see darkness. And I was doing my best to fill in the darkness and create the answer. Nothing was coming. And so I said, you know what? Let me just. Listen, right? Just release control. And then I just saw a dark entrance, but it was pulling me. Normally a dark entrance is like, no, no, but I was just like, you know what? I'm desperate. I need, I see something I'm going for it. So I walked into this like dark entrance and then it started to light up. As I got closer, remind you, my eyes are closed. I walk into this entrance and then I look up and around and I notice that I'm in a tent, a white tent, and with a very tall ceiling and I saw people jumping around. It's a circus. I haven't been to a circus in a long time. I haven't seen any movies that have any themes. This came out of nowhere. So I see these acrobats flipping and I guess twirling and jumping in whatever and grabbing and, and doing like death defying stunts. And I'm like, Whoa, what came into my mind was they're fit. They got confidence. Right. And. They got teamwork. Everybody's doing their thing and they're not sweating it. They're just doing their thing. But if they slip, they're dead. Like they're dead. And so I was just amazed by this. And then I started looking around. I'm like, what else is going on? And I looked to my left and I see this guy with these huge arms, like just muscular and he's on a bench press and he's just like lifting weights. So I'm like, Oh, maybe he's preparing for like the next show or whatever. And I don't know how much he was lifting. It was just. A lot of 45s stacked up 45 pounds on, on, you know, that bench. And, um, and I don't know if it makes difference, but the guy had a ponytail. If you've seen me, I'm bald. I shaved my head. So I don't know if that plays a role, but I didn't take note until now that I'm saying this out loud. So going forward, I was like, you know what? The meditation ended up, my eyes are open. Now I'm going to. But I'm, I'm a little out of it and I do my best. And so I just start with like, just words like, uh, circus, uh, acrobats, uh, confidence, um, uh, health, fitness, strength, bench press. And then my logic brain started to kick in and started to make sentences, cohesive sentences. And then there we got the confidence, but more importantly, Getting to that confidence. The theme was fitness. And I remember. The time where I was the most confident and I had the most activity in my life was when I was actively working out. Ding, ding, ding, ding, right? The treasure chest was uncovered. I saw the lid. I opened it up and it was dumbbells. So, uh, I say this to say that. Yes. That journey right at the very end it there's pieces to the puzzle and each week I put in another piece and I was just diligent. Just one piece at a time. You start with the edges, right? And then you start working towards the middle and then slowly a visual pops up. You're not gonna get all your answers in one shot. It's that consistency and it's a lot easier when someone's guiding you. And if you need help, contact me, right? So let's bring it back. How do I feel afterwards, right? It was great because I didn't come the, the, the answers, right? The treasure, so to speak. It didn't come from a random YouTube video. It came from myself, not someone else, right? I wasn't waiting in line to ask an important question and then. Yet some type of answer was just diligence and it was over time and I saw the growth of that, you know, uncovering of that treasure. And it's, it's that, that feeling of like, this is more impactful because it came from me and It came from just days and weeks of just uncovering one piece at a time. If you've ever done a puzzle and you finish that, that like thousand puzzle piece, I definitely recommend you do that because you're going to feel that sense of accomplishment and think of just anything you've done. It just took a while of training and then after a while, you're like, Oh, you feel accomplished, but this is getting clarity on your mission on what you need to do to uncover. Um, your reason why you do the things you do right or whatever that's standing in your way, right? Think of those, those three main categories, your personal life, your relationships, or your professional life. So we're at the end of this whole episode. And like I promised earlier, I want to give you the chance to get a little taste of. and what I call a momentary meditation. So stick around for the next couple of minutes and really we're going to get started right now. So if you want to set yourself up correct for the best experience, hopefully you're not driving. Right? Maybe put a pause and come back to this because we're going to start that meditation, and I don't even want you to think of it as a meditation, just a time to relax. How about that? Right? And so if you want to set yourself up, correct, be in a safe place. So you're not worried about being, interrupted. If you're in a room, put a sign up saying, do not disturb getting my sanity back. I'm kidding. so ideally quiet spot, no distractions. If you want to take a notepad and pen out, put it next to you, get comfortable. I think we're about to get ready. Let's do this. Alright, if you're ready, go ahead and do me a favor and close your eyes for a moment. Taking a few breaths in and out through your nose. On the next breath, Feel your jaw relax and drop your shoulders. Take one longer, slower breath in and out through your nose. In a moment, I'm going to say a few words and I want you to finish the sentence silently in your own mind. Listen to your response as I say these words. I want to, I want to, because I listen from within for the next few moments as you complete the sentence. I want to, because I, now pausing for a second. Let it become totally clear in your mind what you want to do and why. And when you're ready, open your eyes, but keep your focus on what you realized here. Now there's a couple things you could do. If you have a notepad and pen nearby, or just something to write on with a pen, go ahead and, if there's thoughts and more clarity that came to mind, write that stuff down. If you're not near a notepad and pen, chances are you're listening to this on your phone. So after this, go ahead and, you know, shut this down and open up your voice recorder. And just spill your, your mind out. Just get it out of your head. You'll be surprised at what comes out even if you don't think there's anything of value right now. Humor me. Humor yourself. let it out. Now, after you do this, all I ask, and I'm very curious, I want to know if this helped you and if it did, how did it help you? And you can be anonymous, however you want. You can go to new age, human. com. And just make sure you put the HTTP in and all that because there's some like security stuff going on. And on the top right, there's a tab called contact me. Just click on that and then shoot me an email and it'll go straight to my inbox. The one that I pay attention to. Um, and yeah, I'm very curious about your feedback. And I want to connect and understand, you know, if this helped you. Should I do more of these things, these momentary meditations. So, other than that, thanks for listening today and, uh, we'll connect in the near future. Bye bye now.
